Color, Print, & Fabric
Throughout my career, I have led small, highly collaborative design teams where fabric research and development are central to the creative process. I identify opportunities for innovation by sourcing inspiration through curated shopping and work closely with Product Development and Sourcing teams to deliver sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
My expertise lies in adding texture, depth, and dimension to collections through distinctive applications of color, print, and pattern. I collaborate with a network of talented textile artists, vintage specialists, and print houses, translating ideas into cohesive, market-ready collections that reflect a clear and elevated creative vision.
Embroidery
Embroidery—whether subtle, bold, hand-stitched, or machine-executed—serves as a strategic tool for storytelling and elevating the energy of a collection. I lead collaborations with master artisans, many of whom have refined their specialized embroidery and beading techniques over generations, integrating their expertise to enhance the overall aesthetic and ensure each collection reflects a distinctive, high-impact creative vision.
Sketches
Sketching functions as a strategic tool to define and communicate the creative vision, integrating silhouette, technique, and fabric into a cohesive concept during sketch reviews. By overseeing the development of CADs in Illustrator, I ensure collections are thoughtfully merchandised, aligned with line plans, and executed to meet both brand objectives and overarching business goals.
Fit
Once tech packs and specifications are finalized, the anticipation of seeing a tangible garment comes to life. I lead and foster the collaborative spirit of fittings, leveraging these sessions as a critical touchpoint to gather insights, refine designs, and ensure the collection aligns seamlessly with both creative vision and production standards.
